QO-100 Introduction
What is “QO-100” ?
QO-100 is the generic name of two geostationary transponders on the Qatari Eshail-2 commercial TV satellite - Uplink on 2.4 GHz (13-cm band) and downlink on 10.45 GHz (3-cm band)
Es’hail 2 is at 25.8°E, a degree or two away from the Sky Satellites
Narrowband Linear transponder
2400.005 - 2400.495 MHz Uplink
10489.505 - 10489.995 MHz Downlink
Wideband digital transponder

What it is not…
It is NOT “Es’hail” !! It is QO-100 !!
Es’hail, actually Es’hail 2, is the name of the Qatar Satellite Company’s latest commercial broadcasting satellite Es’hail 2 at 25.8°E

You are being very pedantic !!
No, not at all!
There is a need for correctness and accuracy here, otherwise it just creates confusion for newcomers trying to learn about QO-100, and the perception that you don’t really know what you are talking about!!
Case in point:
British Amateur Television Club Homepage…
The name of the image file is “eshail-footprint.jpg”
